BELT PROMOTIONS IN THE YOUTH EXCEL PROGRAM:

Most students and parents are aware of the changes we have made to belt promotions. I am currently working on a general guideline that sets out the stripe requirements for each belt level. It will be posted on the bulletin board as soon as it is available.

FRONT DOOR

With the temperature change, the front door tends not to close very well. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, make sure it closes behind you. It is appreciated very much to keep the cold air out and the warm air in!

FACILITY CLOSURES:

Friday December 23 until January 3, 2012. The 1st day of classes back in action will be on Wednesday, January 4, 2012.

UPCOMING TOURNAMENTS:

November 26, 2011 Young Tigers Challenge Open, Melville, SK (will have kata, point sparring, light kickboxing for both children and adults). Melville also hosts the provincials this year.

Saturday, May 26th 2012 Can Am Classic 24t5h Annual Open Martial Arts Tournament,

Balgonie Stardome  Balgonie, Sask.

S.M.A.A. ANNUAL CHRISTMAS SWIM/PIZZA PARTY:

We are tentatively looking at Sunday December 18 to hold our annual swim party at the Lakewood Civic Centre. Please watch for the sign up sheet which will be posted around December 5.

LITTERING:

We are asking everyone do their part in helping keep our facility clean inside and out. We are finding an increased amount of litter in the parking lot and near the main entrance from individuals not taking responsibility for their garbage and leaving it for our cleaning staff. Individuals that choose to smoke, please find an appropriate place to get rid of your cigarettes, preferably in your vehicle ashtray!!! Thank You!  Please also keep the sunflower seeds and pistachio nuts at home or eat them upstairs in the lobby.

As always, please forward any questions or concerns to me or any of the instructors.  Any feedback (whether positive or negative) is always appreciated.
